Kazak Building Company, Inc. is a building contractor who has been serving both Oakland and Macomb counties in Michigan since 1999. Project Background

For this particular project, the homeowners decided they need to refresh the look in their kitchen. They wanted a modern yet iconic look while still maintaining that classic medium wood coloring that is often seen in the Midwest.

Strategy/Challenges

The biggest strategy behind this project was in finding the right style and color of cabinets to convey the desired look and feel. Cabinets come in a variety of designs from sleek to traditional to contemporary, and in choosing the right one, it can be a very intimidating process. With this particular kitchen remodel, the homeowners wanted a cabinet style that would always remain ‘in vogue’ along with being both functional and practical.

Result/Solution

It was recommended to complete this kitchen renovation with Merillat® Classic in two different door styles and colors. The Portrait door style with 5-piece drawer front in Maple Wood with Hazelnut Stain was selected for the perimeter of the kitchen.

For the island and buffet, the cabinets feature Chiffon paint with Prairie Mullion glass doors. To complete the look, the homeowners selected simple black pulls that help to create a more modern look.
